Yesterday, we sat down with a special group of young people; our care leavers.<\/p>\n
These are bright, hopeful young individuals who completed their high school education last year.<\/p>\n
Some grew up in our home, others we supported through school fees while living with their families. Different journeys, but one shared story: resilience.<\/p>\n
The meeting was simple, but important.
\nWe talked about the future; careers, purpose, and the next steps in life.<\/p>\n
There was excitement in the room. Dreams of becoming teachers, journalists, entrepreneurs, and more. You could feel their hope.<\/p>\n
But alongside that hope was a hard reality.<\/p>\n
For years, we have walked alongside them, making sure they remain in school, mentoring them, and filling in wherever necessary.<\/p>\n
Now, the time has come for them to take the next step forward… but unfortunately, we cannot fully provide for their college education and skill training like we did before.<\/p>\n
And this is where the story cannot end.<\/p>\n
Because these young people are not looking for handouts, they are looking for opportunity.<\/p>\n

\nThe opportunity to create their future.
\nThe opportunity to become self-reliant.<\/p>\n
With the right support, their stories can change not just their lives, but entire families and communities.<\/p>\n
