The Ark Trust(TAT) is the umbrella organization for Napastaa Heimen Children Centre( NHCC) and The Napastaa Model School(NMS)
The Ark Trust traces back to the early 90s with the feeding programs that brought about the birth of Ark Home, the current Napastaa HeimenChildren’s Centre. Napastaa Heimen Children’s Centre started officially on 14th March 1994 with its main focus on boy child- The street boys around Kiambu. In the year 2015, TAT, included girls in its residential care to complete the equation of a complete family as even the girls get to be impacted in life.
The Ark trust initially operated in Kirigiti before shifting to Ngegu village along Kiambu Banana Road after acquisition land and building some semi permanent buildings. All this was made possible through collaborations between The Word of faith Church , Napastaa Foundation Norway and Norwegian Aid. The organization had a very humble beginning.
The organization has continued to grow to meet its Objective of impacting the community. From the initial 8 (eight) boys housed at NHCC in 1994, the organization has grown to impact thousands of children and the youth through meeting of their basic needs.
Between the year 2014 and 2017, TAT initiated two other community projects , the swimming pool and lunar park and The Napastaa Model school with the aim of touching the community and also building sustainability for the organization.
TAT shall continue collaborate and partner with different partners. Each partner shall draw a personal agreement with TAT with their agreeable terms and conditions.
