LESSONS FROM THE SHAMBA
There’s something powerful about watching a seed grow; not just into food, but into responsibility.
In the recent past, we showed you around our maize farm when it was just beginning. Now we have something else to celebrate. We have a harvest, and not only is it a wonderful feat, but it was accomplished not just for the children, but with the children.
From planting to nurturing and now harvesting, the children were actively involved every step of the way. This exercise has enabled them to learn much more than agriculture; it has taught them lessons of stewardship, patience, and perseverance.
This exercise has enabled them to learn much more than agriculture; it has taught them lessons of stewardship, patience, and perseverance. It also shows how important it is for us to equip them with other vital life skills to ensure they are able to stand on their own in the future.
But we also know we can do more.
We are looking to collaborate with well-wishers, partners, and friends who believe in creating sustainable impact in the lives of children. Your support can help us continue nurturing both the land and the future of these young lives.
Let’s raise a generation that not only receives, but also builds, sustains, and gives back.
