MORNINGS SHOULD NOT BEGIN WITH TEARS
Every morning before school begins, the caregivers move quickly from child to child, preparing uniforms, organizing breakfast, and helping the youngest ones get ready for the day ahead.
But bath time is often the hardest part.
For many of the children below 8 years old, the cold water is something they dread every morning. Some cry softly before stepping into the bathroom. Others hesitate, trying to gather courage as caregivers gently encourage them through the routine.
The caregivers do their best to comfort them while still preparing dozens of children on schedule. It is a scene repeated day after day — not because anyone wants it this way, but because there is currently no alternative.
A solar water heating system would completely transform these mornings.
Warm water would mean calmer mornings, fewer tears, and greater comfort for the youngest children as they prepare for school. It would also ease the burden on caregivers who work tirelessly to make each child feel safe and cared for.
Sometimes, changing a child’s day begins with something as simple as warmth.
