WE TRUST YOU
Sometimes growth looks like being trusted.
This week, as part of a planned staff retreat, the older children at The Ark Trust (Napastaa Children’s Home) stepped into small leadership roles within the home. Not because they had to, but because they are ready to learn.
They helped keep routines going, supported the younger ones, and worked together to make sure everything ran smoothly.
It wasn’t perfect. But that’s not the point.
The point is this: they are learning what it means to be responsible for others. To think beyond themselves. To show up.
In a space that many call a “children’s home,” moments like these quietly remind us—it is also a place where young people are being prepared for life.
And sometimes, the best lessons come when someone says, “We trust you.”
